Welcome to the Techno-Science.net forums. Registering on the forum allows you to comment on news and features published on the site, as well as discuss topics mainly related to science and technology.

These terms of use may be amended. They are published on the site to inform users.

1 - General rules

The administrators and moderators of this forum will make every effort to remove or edit objectionable messages as quickly as possible. However, it is impossible for them to review every message. You therefore acknowledge that all messages posted on these forums express the views and opinions of their respective authors, not those of the administrators, moderators or webmasters (except for messages posted by them), and consequently they cannot be held responsible for them.

You agree not to post insulting, obscene, vulgar, defamatory, threatening or sexual messages, or any other message that violates applicable French law or infringes the rights of third parties (see below the rules concerning images and the reuse of content).

Doing so may result in an immediate and permanent ban. You agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum have the right to delete, edit, move or lock any discussion topic at any time.

As a user, you agree that all information provided below will be stored in a database. However, this information will not be disclosed to any third party or company without your consent.

The webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible if an attempted computer attack results in access to this data.

This forum uses cookies to store information on your computer. These cookies will not contain any information you enter below; they are used solely to improve ease of use. Your email address is used only to confirm your registration details and password, and to send you a new password if you forget it.

2 - Content, images and respect for third-party rights

Forum members must ensure that they only post on techno-science.net images or written content that is free of rights or that they own, and must cite the source.

This forum is intended to provide a discussion space accessible to everyone, not a place for simple monologues. Please follow these rules:

  • Whenever possible, write text that remains readable on screen and do not hesitate to split long paragraphs.
  • Copying and pasting long passages from another site is prohibited. You should quote a short extract and mention its source.
  • Trolling, meaning posting messages intended to provoke a hostile reaction from other participants, is prohibited. Topics likely to cause controversy, such as politics or religion, are also not allowed.
  • Avoid SMS language and chat-speak.

The forum may not be used for commercial purposes or to promote websites or services, for example by creating discussion topics intended to redirect users directly or indirectly to websites or blogs.

Regarding formatting, avoid using very large or coloured fonts, or any other form of expression intended to attract the reader's attention.

3 - Technical and scientific forums

The technical and scientific forums give you an opportunity to discuss scientific news and various topics related to science and technology. We remind you that Techno-Science.net aims to promote scientific knowledge and culture. The following rules apply:

  • Use language that other participants can understand and, where necessary, define the terms used or provide a link defining them.
  • Base your posts on established and identified data and argue logically using a scientific approach.
  • Supernatural subjects are not welcome.
  • Confusing intuition with a scientific approach is not welcome either.
  • Avoid going off topic; off-topic messages may be deleted.

4 - Other forums

Since life is not limited to science and technology, we have provided a social space called “Discussions”. It is also a group of moderated forums where the rules above apply. In particular, if you discuss science in these sections, the rules in part 3 also apply.

5 - Acceptance of the terms

By registering, you confirm that you agree to the rules above.
