Aphantophryne est un genre qui regroupe plusieurs espèces d'amphibiens des montagnes de l'est de la Nouvelle-Guinée.

Étymologie

Le nom de ce genre a été choisi en référence à son habitat (du latin, Aphanticus, « de terre inculte » et phrynus, « grenouille »).
