La cathédrale de Durham (The Cathedral Church of Christ, Blessed Mary the Virgin and St Cuthbert of Durham, plus connue sous le nom de Durham Cathedral en anglais) est située dans la cité de Durham dans le comté de Durham, Angleterre et fut fondée en 1093.

Le siège ecclésiastique de Durham prend ses origines dans le diocèse de Lindisfarne fondé par Saint Aidan sur injonction de Oswald de Northumbrie vers l'an 635. Avec les invasions Vikings, les moines de Lindisfarne s'enfuirent avec les reliques de Saint Cuthbert qui furent entreposés, plus tard, en la cathédrale de Durham.

La cathédrale actuelle fut érigée par Guillaume de Saint-Calais, évêque de Durham.
