Kevin Roche est un architecte irlandais né à Dublin le 14 juin 1922. Il a étudié à l'université nationale d'Irlande avec . Il est diplômé en 1945. Il part aux États-Unis et suit, pendant un semestre seulement, l'enseignement de Ludwig Mies van der Rohe à l'Illinois Institute of Technology à Chicago. Il travaille à partir de 1950 avec Eero Saarinen jusqu'à la mort de ce dernier en 1961. Il prend la direction de l'agence en association avec John Dinkeloo (1918-1981).
Il est réputé pour son architecture en verre. Il a reçu en 1982 le prix Pritzker.
